This is IT!   I went a little over the top …and it paid off  :)

I originally asked our close friends at Brakeless to build the little gem because the attention to detail at this shop is like no other!!  Due to the lack of patience on my part and the jealousy from Jay being able to build his…. this project could not wait.   I am so happy how it all came together!!!   Thanks to my loving boyfriend for  his patience in my decision making, his crappy Photoshop skills, and all the extra time and effort he put into this for me…. xo!

Last but not least one more special thanks to all the friends who were as amped as I was when building this little gem of mine; Paul at City Grounds, Sylvester at Breakless, and Sean and Paul at Bikes on Wheels.  Folks, if your not buying your goods and parts at these shops, your doing it all wrong!!

Introducing the GSC Velo Stand. We have always wanted a simple yet beautiful stand to compliment our classic bicycles, so we decided to make our own. All of our stands are carefully created by hand by a master craftsmen. We did a small run of our stands using salvaged gymnasium flooring. Some of the wood was salvaged from the old Balboa Park gym in San Diego where some of the greats like Wilt Chamberlain played. Each stand is unique and patterns vary. We only have a few left of these. We can also do custom orders for our GSC Velo Stands using either maple or walnut hardwoods. It is confirmed, 4 days is the max i can go without seeing Jay.  So… i left Toronto Monday night on route to Montreal for a few days of work, and BAMM… Jay drives in Friday morning, giving us just enough time to plan birthday festivities. Guhhh i love him.

We drove straight to Scotts, one of our dearest friends and the best host EVER.  It took about 2 minutes for the boys to convince me Jay should open his BD present.  He did, and I melted.  Girls, I know what your thinking…. I cant help but drool too.  I took the birthday boy and Scott to my all time favourite vegan restaurant Aux Vivres, Jay liked it despite the lack of grease and meat.  Sime and Celia met us there too!! It was such a great night full of friends and inappropriate dinner conversations.  Thanks everyone

Today, we spent all day walking, shopping, eating, shopping … Jay road the metro… and everyone got new sunglasses!!!

The best part of the day hands down was Jays face in breakless, a kid in a candy shop!!  He is super stoked on his new tri spoke wheel for a possible cinelli mash frame… too soon??  For the love of God, everyone donate to the “Becky needs a cinelli pista foundation”. Pearl white, chrome fixins please and thank you.  Breakless is hands down the go to shop in Montreal for specialty bikes and phenomenal service.  Sylvestre is a pleasure to meet and talk bikes with, so grateful to have found this gem of a shop.

I got…  A GPS!! Its so so so cute too, I mean obviously the only thing that matters first and fore most is that I can have a little pizza icon as my car while receiving directions…  Seriously, very appropriate gift Jay, I love road trips!! Well, with my daily driver…. xo!
